2024: System Creation
On February 26, 2024, the Russian company Stupor announced the development of a system of the same name against unmanned aerial vehicles. The complex is capable of detecting and suppressing drones in several ways at once at a distance of up to 5 km.
According to RIA Novosti"," the platform is based on several detection modules that complement each other. These are a radar station, a radio frequency scanner and an optical recognition station. drones To suppress drones, barrage jamming equipment and a coordinate substitution system are used. The operation of all components is controlled by a special one software created by Stupor engineers.
To detect and capture the target, the platform uses the Storm and Shtil subsystems, the range of which exceeds 5 km. In turn, the Pars defenses suppress drones at a distance of up to 2 km both with a narrow directional beam and by creating a "dome" with a 360-degree diagram.
The complex uses artificial intelligence algorithms, thanks to which the platform is able to function without the help of a human operator. Reporting and archival information about events can be transmitted to a mobile device, in particular, to a smartphone. In addition, it is possible to integrate third-party detection and countermeasures into the system.
Director of Development of Stupor Vladislav Kustarev notes that the new system may be in demand in the zone of a special operation, where Russian infrastructure and military facilities are regularly attacked by enemy drones. It is not always advisable to hit drones with air defense systems, using expensive ammunition. A comprehensive Stupor platform can help in this situation[1]
