2019: The Supermicro H12 A servers + with AMD Epyc processors of the 2nd generation

On August 8, 2019 the Super Micro Computer company provided a line of the A+ servers of generation of H12 providing to modern data processing centers high the level of integration and performance measures using processors of the EPYC 7002 AMD series.

According to the producer, the Supermicro H12 A servers + with EPYC AMD processors of the 2nd generation should show double performance improvement, thanks to the doubled quantity of cores in comparison with systems based on EPYC AMD processors of the previous generation. When using devices of a line of A+ users can expect the increased GP accelerator capacity and also four times higher rate of FLOPS on each slot.

Using the H12 A servers + the Supermicro company managed to reach high control performance measures in both categories TPCx-IoT and TPC-DS. In category TPCx-IoT the 4-nodal H12 TwinPro 2U server showed an indicator in 472200.88 IoTps, having proved the capability to provide the proper speed of data analysis with the gateways IoT. According to Super Micro Computer, this moment purchases special value against the background of radial capacity growth of 5G networks. According to Super Micro Computer the world record in category TPC-DS was reached using the system Supermicro H12 A + BigTwin. This server provides the high performance and a low indicator of the financial investments for the database with a capacity of 10 TB from 64% with increase in QphDS (amounts of compound requests per hour) and economy at the level of 0.05 US dollars counting on QphDS in comparison with the previous world record holder.

According to the statement of the producer, thanks to a complex and balanced set of the I/O parameters, memories and security, the Supermicro A servers + provide to DPC the increased flexibility and speed of reaction. Thanks to PCI-E 4.0 support, these servers are characterized by the large volume of memory for runtime environment at the Tb level of 4 on each slot supporting operation of modules of memory of DDR4 with frequency up to 3200 MHz.^[1]
