On September 27, 2017 the Svyaznoy company announced start of Telegram bot helping to issue the preorder for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The bot was developed jointly by Svyaznoy and Sherlock Platform company.
@Svyaznoy_ru_bot allows users of Telegram to reserve devices from Apple in the comfortable canal. The buyer does not need to use any special commands — to join a chat enough and to answer several questions, having selected possible answers. The bot accepts the preorder for all modifications of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. With start of the preorder for iPhone X the bot will help also with purchase of this device.
Order placement mechanism
The bot asks the user questions, gives possible answers to reveal what model the buyer wants to order. Then suggests to select the city for delivery of the device and also a method of obtaining the order. It can be a courier delivery or shipment at own expense from nearly 2800 salons of Svyaznoy.
When the buyer answers all questions, the chat-bot will create the order and will give the reference to the page of payment. About all changes of the status of the preorder it is possible to learn from a bot in a chat or on the website of the retailer. Besides, order status information is duplicated to the buyer through the SMS.
The chat-bot of Svyaznoy itself will create the request, and the client should not fill out it on the website — to write to a bot the name, the city and a contact telephone number enough.
Other communication channels
In addition to a bot in Telegram, execution of requests for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus it is available on svyaznoy.ru, through the application, call center and electronic directories located in salons of Svyaznoy. The start of sales of new iPhones will take place on September 29.
