2023: Introduction of Medium Voltage, Low Voltage and Relay Protection Upgrade Solution
The Russian production company Systeme Electric (Systeme Electric), a manufacturer of complex solutions in the field of electricity distribution and automation, has developed a set of standard solutions for retrophite of medium, low voltage equipment and relay protection. The company announced this on November 23, 2023.
Retrophyte solutions make it possible to replace key components that have exhausted their resources. Such modernization takes less time and can be carried out in several stages. This significantly reduces the shutdown time of the equipment and makes upgrades within the framework of operational costs.
Retrophyte solutions are especially relevant at substations of enterprises where a fleet of CSR and switchgear cells is installed, as well as low-voltage cabinets of previous generations. In such cases, the circuit breaker life is at the production limit, and it is not always possible to carry out planned repairs due to the lack of spare parts. In addition, such switches do not meet the ideas about the safety of operation and maintenance. Replacing worn-out key components allows you to quickly upgrade equipment, which is especially important for a continuous production cycle.
For medium voltage switchgears, System Electric has developed a replacement for an old oil or air circuit breaker with a modern vacuum SystemePact VCB. For switchgear cells, it is possible to replace not only the circuit breaker, but also the entire rolling-out element, which significantly reduces the installation time. This approach preserves the entire existing design of the original cell.
To replace the LV switches, System Electric supplies adaptation kits in the form of pre-assembled modules containing a SystemePact ACB or CCB switch with a SystemeLogic X control unit, a frame structure, adapter buses and supporting insulators.
In addition, System Electric offers solutions for upgrading the relay protection control cabinet by replacing the BMRZ manufactured by the Mechanotronics Scientific and Technical Center with microprocessor devices.
To upgrade Schneider Electric relay protection devices, quick replacement modules are offered that allow you to replace an outdated device without redesigning the relay compartment door and remounting secondary circuits.
For commissioning of devices of this series, the SystemeVAR Tool software was specially created. The software allows you to enter and copy parameters, perform diagnostics, test control terminal blocks in simulation mode and has a control panel mode for debugging and trial start.
