In mid-February 2025, the state-owned company Rosoboronexport, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, presented the upgraded Breakthrough T-90MS tank. This machine is equipped with means to counter unmanned aerial vehicles.

The developer and manufacturer of the Breakthrough T-90MS is Uralvagonzavod, part of Rostec. It is claimed that the tank has incorporated the most advanced technologies and new technical solutions. The principle of differentiated booking was implemented in addition to dynamic protection, lattice screens and means of electronic suppression of drones. The machine is protected from various modern weapons, such as attack UAVs, FPV drones, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers (RPGs).

T-90MS "Breakthrough" is equipped with a new fire control system such as "digital board." Integrated information management command systems and other innovative solutions are used. Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemistry of the Rostec state corporation, says that the tank has received improvements in all systems, in particular, updated all-round multi-level protection. A wide range of ammunition is available for the car.
