THESIS: Portal

The corporate portal stores internal information of the organization, including data on the company, her employees, structure and allows personnel to work with important documents in a common information space, integrating different information solutions.

The portal allows to place the corporate information, internal documents and regulations obligatory to reading, rules of the company, data on structure of divisions and employees, to keep the calendar of events, corporate news and media content. For informal communication in the portal there is a forum.

THESIS: The portal is the addition to the workflow system THESIS, adding quick access to the most important corporate information and allowing to put into joint work with documents a bigger circle of employees.

The portal gives access to the most used functions of the THESIS ESM-system. Users in the portal can create tasks and documents, to see notifications according to current documents and tasks, Application folders and quantity of cards in them. Via the portal it is possible to load documents into the THESIS system for registration — even those users who have no access to a system can do it. In the presence of access, users can, using uniform authorization, to pass from the portal into the THESIS system.

Bilateral integration of the latest version of THESIS system 3.6 into the portal allows to publish documents from a system for acquaintance of all employees. Especially important documents can be displayed in news and also to refer to them in letters and instant messages.

The portal can be added with the services necessary for the company, for example: calculators of currencies, reminders on events, armoring of meeting rooms, order of corporate transport, etc. Sections and services of the portal can be configured according to service duties of the user, department or division in which it works. Setup of the portal requires training of the administrator, at the same time skills of software development are not obligatory.

THESIS: The portal is developed on the basis of the platform open source of Liferay Portal. Such solution does not require costs for additional licenses and allows to customize the unique display and filling of pages for different users, to integrate the portal with external systems, for example, with MS Office, e-mail clients, etc.

2015: EmDev will develop "the THESIS: The portal" according to a Liferay portal status

At the end of 2015 the companies EMDEV and "Haulmont" combined efforts to improve abilities to integrate the solution "the THESIS: The portal" with the workflow system THESIS. Within joint work the following functionality was implemented:

• Quick access to EDMS document folders;
• The notification of the user about new events in EDMS THESIS;
• Sending document from the portal to EDMS THESIS;
• The publication on the portal of negotiation documents;
• Integration of calendars of the Liferay portal and EDMS THESIS.

Later Haulmont concluded exclusive partnership with EMDEV company - the only golden partner of the Liferay corporate portal in Russia. Within cooperation EMDEV will develop the solution "the THESIS: The portal" according to current status of the Liferay portal.
