TONK: LXBOX mini-PC

LXBOX does not contain moving parts and works running full-function Linux Mint OS. According to the statement of developers, in a system more than 100 different applications are pre-installed: from the LibreOffice office suite to means of professional work with graphics and a sound. At the same time all of them are the free software.

In Tonk say that creation of the inexpensive computer ready to work "from a box" and at the same time the safest was the main objective when developing the new PC. Representatives of the company also note that PCs based on Open Source occupy the increasing niche of the market of house and office desktops, as well as the share of the IT infrastructures constructed by the principle of terminal solutions with thin clients where are used by Linux system as client jobs grows in a corporate segment.

The cost of the younger LXBOX model at the time of the beginning of sales is 11.99 thousand rubles, senior - 13.99 thousand rubles. Developers sell the computer directly via the website and also cooperate with the company X-Com.

Representatives Tonk told TAdviser that their company expands dealer network, including - at the expense of regions and large online retailers. As of April, 2014 negotiations with other companies interested in sales of LXBOX are conducted. Till June X-Com будет an exclusive distributor of these PCs.
