Tectonic, the corporate Kubernetes-solution of CoreOS company, offers the developed abilities to manage the large Kubernetes configurations using the so-called automated updating "by air" which considerably simplifies deployment of updates (roll-out upgrade) of clusters of Tectonic and underlying hosts of Container Linux. Red Hat is going to include this technology in the structure of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, the Kubernetes-platform of a corporate class, as the automated transactions.
The automated transactions will allow to implement advantages of the automated updates of Tectonic complete with reliability, usual for users of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, support and enhanced capabilities of application development. It will seriously simplify deployment of the large-scale Kubernetes configurations due to automation of the lion share of routine tasks, having reduced the need for permanent administration by forces of IT specialists and having opened the road to operation of clusters as completely automated deserted productions. At the same time such factors, important for corporate customers, as stability of the platform and support of the available IT systems completely will remain.
