2020: The announcement of the cyclotron accelerator for sterilization of medical products from Tekhnodinamika

As it became known on September 28, 2020, the Tekhnodinamika company developed the cyclotron accelerator which among other functions provides sterilization of medical products. The mobile complex with a management system, giving and unloadings of products is capable to process from 45 to 125 tons of products per hour, the producer claims.

The basis of new technology of processing was formed by the accelerator of electrons based on the electron beam gun and the accelerating module. This equipment will be installed in mobile boxing where products will be delivered on the conveyer belt.

It is supposed that the technology will succeed heat, chemical and radiation treatment of some types of products. In addition to sterilization of medical products, a system can be used for cold pasteurization of food and for some other purposes.

The boxing is protected from radiation, loading and unloading will be performed by robotic manipulators. A system will be modular – its size and characteristics will depend on the volume of the processed products. A lot of installation in a basic complete set is less than 3 tons.

According to developers, the new solution will cost much (it is stated to a 6-fold difference) less in comparison by domestic and import analogs. Interest in a product was shown by producers of food and medical products and also state bodies. The complex will be available to clients in 2021. More exact terms and cost of a product by the end of September 2020-ggo are not called.

The project as it is specified in the press release, was among winners according to the results of the program of training of technology leaders Vector which is carried out by academy of Rostec.
