2020: Printing on the 3D-printer
On March 25, 2020 it became known of the beginning 3D - printings of medical masks Temporum company which is a resident of technopark of Nagatino. Products are created on 3D-printers on FDM technology which essence consists in layer-by-layer cultivation of a product from previously melted plastic thread, reported on the website of the capital mayor's office.
As the head of capital Department of an entrepreneurship and the innovative development Alexey Fursin specified, by production the plastic PETG is used — it is safe in use. At the same time the masks printed on 3D-printers are reusable, but in them it is necessary to change the filter. Specialists recommend to apply for this purpose a wadded disk and to process a plastic product disinfecting solution.
The director of the center of additive technologies Temporum Dmitry Gladyshev says that such masks it is significantly more profitable than disposable products. So, packaging of wadded disks from 100 pieces costs about 70 rubles, it turns out, the price of the so-called filter for the medical product printed on the 3D-printer is 70 rubles, he claims.
By March 25, 2020 the Temporum company receives requests for acquisition of small wholesale batches of masks, negotiations on their serial production are conducted.
Against the background of a coronavirus pandemic in Russia there was a deficit of medical masks in drugstores and also increase in prices for them. In certain cases rise in price reached 900%. Since March 22, 2019 reusable medical masks which sew garment factories began to come to drugstores.
18 enterprises in Russia were initially concentrated on production of masks from synthetic nonwoven fabrics, they produced on average a day about 600 thousand masks. Developments of Temporum should improve a situation with availability of masks in Russia.[1]
