The Roselectronics holding, part of the Rostec state corporation, in mid-August 2024 presented a new automated artillery control complex of the Airborne Forces called Zavet-D. This high-tech complex is designed to control artillery units in combat conditions and significantly increases the speed of decision-making and the accuracy of attacks on targets.

According to the press service of Rostec, the Zavet-D complex automates the key processes of command of artillery units. In the course of hostilities, he controls fire, coordinates reconnaissance and interaction between combat and command vehicles. The system integrates command-observation and command-staff machines, as well as remote and portable complexes, which allows you to quickly plan military operations and instantly respond to changes on the battlefield.

Zavet-D smart artillery control complex presented in Russia

One of the advantages of the complex is its high speed of data processing and decision-making. Preparation of the artillery battalion for battle using the "Testament-D" takes from 7 to 12 minutes, the time to defeat a stationary target is from 6 to 10 seconds, and movement to an unprepared position can be completed in 3 minutes. The complex is capable of repelling attacks simultaneously from 20 targets, which makes it extremely effective in conditions of active hostilities.

The Zavet-D complex was developed by NPP Rubin, which is part of Roselectronics. According to Alexei Danilov, General Director of NPP Rubin, automation of military equipment requires the creation of modern control systems that provide operational command of "smart" combat vehicles. Zavet-D solves this problem through the integration of communication, data transmission, topographic binding, navigation and optical-electronic reconnaissance.[1]
