The ThinPrint company submitted the new version of .print RDP Engine technology which provides a convenient and fast output of documents to printing in networks where the new Windows Server 2008 R2 server platform is used. Except automatic providing the necessary printer in terminal sessions, the .print RDP Engine technology provides considerable compression of the output documents by transfer through network, and function of printing without drivers allows to print documents on 320-bit printers from 64-bit environments.
Work in the terminal mode became an integral part of modern offices, however still the output of documents to printing was difficult case – access to the necessary printers from terminal session through the RDP protocol represents quite difficult task. Thanks to Windows Server 2008 R2 corporate users can address convenient functions, such as Direct Access mechanism for the accelerated access to corporate network without the virtual VPN private network of client environment of Windows 7. Besides, the BranchCache technology significantly accelerates access to corporate resources from branches and remote offices. Nevertheless, using .print RDP Engine technology network administrators will be able to disclose all advantages of the Windows Server 2008 R2 server platform and client PCs with the Windows 7 operating system.
The new version of .print RDP Engine technology optimizes printing processes on the large distributed networks. The necessary printer becomes to the available employees in their sessions of remote work, at the same time it is not important from where the user – from the house or branch of office is connected. Means of data compression considerably accelerate document transfer on printing via rather slow communication lines, including ISDN or DSL. The DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology allowing to print documents on 32-bit printers (which do not have drivers for the 64-bit systems) from the terminal sessions started on the 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 server is implemented. Thanks to such expanded compatibility operating expenses and amounts of works on administration are reduced.
The new version of .print RDP Engine technology requires the minimum efforts for installation and inclusion – it can be used on servers with the Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, Windows SBS operating systems (Small Business Server), Windows Server 2003 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 SP1.
