Date of the premiere of the system: 2018/05/24
Branches: Transport
Technology: PLM - Product lifecycle management,  SCM,  Warehouse automation,  Accounting systems

TireTag is a RFID tag for marking of tires which allows to automate process of accounting and internal logistics of buses in the territory of the manufacturing plants and also to control tires in use transport enterprises.

2018: Production start

The RST-Invent company announced on May 24, 2018 development and start of production of RFID tags of TireTag for marking of tires. Tags it is possible to store data on the manufacturer, type, date of production, materials and other information. During product lifecycle data are replenished. Thus, the RFID tag for buses is the electronic passport of a product.

It is possible to integrate a RFID tag of TireTag as directly in a tire at a production phase, and into already ready bus. In both cases the RFID tag is completely protected from differential pressures, temperatures and mechanical influences at normal operation of a tire.

during tests at a number of the plants on production of tires quality control engineers cut accidentally selected buses and study all parts which can affect characteristics and safety of operation of buses. Specialists note lack of violations of integrity of products at integration of RFID tags of TireTag.

It should be noted that at integration of a tag between layers of a tire the integrity of material is not broken. This important property allows to exclude the defects connected with marking of buses on production. Radiographic quality control shows total absence of defects of buses in the place of integration of a tag — Dmitry Sazonov, the head on work with key clients of RST-Invent reported.

Besides, overload tests at the motor transportation enterprises showed operability of the marked buses on run to 400 thousand km, thereby providing control of wheels on all lifecycle of the bus.

It should be noted that at integration of a RFID tag into a tire it is impossible to withdraw it without damage of the bus. It allows to protect products from a counterfeit and substitutions.

Except fight against a counterfeit, RFID allows producers to manage internal logistics in a warehouse and to trace products supply chains.

To the motor transportation enterprises the RFID control system of buses will allow to cut down expenses on planned replacements of tires, to perform monitoring of product lifecycle, to provide protection against plunders and substitutions and also to reduce time for accounting of wheels.
