The center of applied use of hydrogen - the project of division Energy Systems & Solutions of Toshiba company.
On December 1, 2016 the press service of Toshiba company announced a tab the base of the Center of applied use of hydrogen in the Futyu complex, in the western part of Tokyo. The center will begin to work in April, 2017.
The hydrogen power generating system of H2One is taken in a basis of functioning, she uses renewable energy sources for hydrogen production. From the received hydrogen fuel elements of all auto-loaders of the Futyu complex will work.
H2One is the independent system of power supply, she receives hydrogen from water, accumulates it and uses for a power supply of vehicles, heating of water and generation of electricity. Electricity arriving from a renewable energy source goes for hydrogen production from water by an electrolysis method, and its excesses go to the system of rechargeable batteries. The received hydrogen is stored in a special tank from which it as necessary comes to a fuel element. The fuel element, in turn, makes the electric power and heats water. Thus, even in case of interruptions or blackout the H2One system is capable to provide with hot water and electricity the whole complex of buildings or the park of vehicles with fuel elements. Besides, a system is mobile and can be transported in a special container to places of accidents and failures of supply of electricity.
The center of applied use of hydrogen is a step to creation of the new direction of business. We use knowledge gained at its construction and experience to continue development of systems of H2One and to prepare them for work at factories and warehouses, in the logistic centers and the airports. We want to turn the Futyu complex into the working model of factory for the new society of hydrogen power engineering free from pollution by a carbon dioxide gas. The center will work under control of the supermodern control Toshiba H2EMS system which can calculate requirement of the center for hydrogen, its costs for a power supply of fuel elements of vehicles, for optimization of use of tanks of storage of hydrogen.
