2019: Addition of a series of the drives P300 with models with a capacity of 4 and 6 TB
On December 3, 2019 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced replenishment of P300 series for desktop PCs 3.5-inch hard drives with a capacity of 4 TB and 6 TB. Differ from other devices of this series of model in the doubled buffer size (from 64 MB to 128 MB), lower level of noise and the reduced energy consumption.
According to the company, when transporting hard drives as separately, and as a part of the PC heads of reading/record will be optimum protected from damages using the double-drive actuator. Besides, models are equipped with the internal shock sensor which protects the PCs given during operation.
Construction of hard drives of this series provides smoother movement of heads at the runtime reading/record transactions. This goal is achieved, in particular, thanks to the technology minimizing movement of heads. Such optimization minimizes mechanical loading, increases overall performance and satisfies needs of both users of desktop workstations, and gamers.
These models of drives of P300 series have bigger capacity at the lowered energy consumption. They provide to gamers, graphic designers and users of desktop workstations extensive space for data storage. Larry Martinez-Palomo, the CEO of division of hard drives of Toshiba Electronics Europe company told |
P300 model on 4 Tb for November, 2019 is already available on sale, and an exit of Tb P300 6 model is expected in the first quarter 2020.
