A TCR series — a line of regulators from Toshiba.
In general regulators are devices which combine a low displacement current of rest, high extent of suppression of pulsations and small response time on changes of parameters.

TCR15AG
On March 26, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced the beginning of deliveries of a series of regulators with low voltage drop (LDO regulators) in the WCSP6F body the sizes only 1.2 mm x 0.8 mm x 0.3 mm. The TCR15AG series contains devices on 47 different values of tension and is intended for any mobile or building block systems requiring miniature and thin LDO regulators with a high controlled current, the developer noted.
In Toshiba Electronics Europe also noted that despite the miniature body of the device of the TCR15AG series can manage big currents up to 1.5 A that allows to apply them in chains of power sources of radio-frequency blocks, such as chipsets of Wi-fi or modules of Internet of Things and wireless communication. Regulators of this series can also manage a power supply of devices with the high consumed current, including notebooks, digital video cameras, data storage devices and set-top boxes.
Devices of the TCR15AG series have, according to the producer, the coefficient of suppression of pulsations (95 dB) and the fastest response to change of loading, best in the industry, thereby significantly reducing pulsations and noises from the Control IC power supply or direct current converters. Pulsations and noises often happen a limiting factor for power supplies of cameras and radio-frequency (RF) of circuits. Devices of the TCR15AG series help to minimize the fluctuations of voltage output caused by sharp changes of current at change of operation modes of cameras and the RF of circuits.
Low voltage drop is provided with use of external voltage of the shift (VBIAS) that helps to increase energy efficiency of systems and to increase time between accumulator charging of mobile devices, noted in Toshiba.
Devices of the TCR15AG series have additional functions of protection, including overcurrent protection and shutdown when overheating and also regulated and fixed values of voltage output thanks to what they can be used in different power sources. Devices with the fixed voltage output from 0.65 to 3.6 V and devices with regulated voltage output from 0.60 to 3.6 V are issued (by means of external resistors).
TCR3UG
On January 24, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company provided a series of miniature regulators with low voltage drop (LDO) of TCR3UG with an output current 300 mA intended for management of power supply of modules of Internet of Things, wearable devices and smartphones.
Designers always should reach compromise between a rest displacement current, coefficient of suppression of pulsations and response time on change of loading of the LDO regulator. At a minimum current of rest regulators of the TCR3UG series have the compromise combination of these characteristics, best in the industry, providing excellent suppression of pulsations and response time on changes of parameters. They also have different protective functions, including function of shutdown when overheating, overcurrent protections and suppression of a starting current.
Devices the TCR3UG series are produced in in one of the best in the industry the miniature WCSP4F body the sizes of 0.645 mm x 0.645 mm and with a maximum thickness only 0.33 mm, helping to reduce the sizes of mobile devices, in particular their thickness that is important, for example, for smart cards.
Range of input voltages of devices is from 1.5 to 5.5 V of a direct current, and standard value of a standing current – only 340 on. Despite an ultralow standing current, regulators have excellent coefficient of suppression of pulsations (70 dB) and a response to change of load of ±60 mV.
LDO regulators are intended for application in electric power supplies of the devices requiring a progressive tense of independent operation and also the devices sensitive to noises and fluctuations of supply voltage. In the TCR3UG series devices with 31 values of voltage output from 0.8 to 5.0 V. Besides, are issued options with automatic discharge of output circuits and without it are available, and designers can easily select the most suitable device for the solution of an assigned task.
