Toshiba TXZ is a series of microcontrollers for control of several electric motors.

On November 15, 2016 the Toshiba company provided a series of microcontrollers for control of several electric motors by means of the single-crystal device with quantity of outputs from 32 to 64.

Group of MK4 devices — the second offer in a series of high-speed microcontrollers with low power consumption of Toshiba TXZ on the basis of ARM Cortex-M core.

Microcontrollers of the TXZ series solve a problem of decrease in energy consumption and economy of space in management systems for electric motors — from household appliances (washers and refrigerators) to the electric tool, fans, electric bicycles and industrial management systems for movement.

Structures of Toshiba of the TXZ series with 64 outputs provide control of two electric motors by means of a possibility of determination of provision of the electric motor using the built-in high-speed ATsP with time of conversion of 0.5 microsec.

Devices are executed on the basis of the ARM Cortex-M4F processor:

  • clock rate 80 MHz,
  • block of transactions with a floating point.
  • flash memory with a frequency of 80 MHz,
  • the coprocessor for the vector module of development of Toshiba
  • 3-channel operational amplifiers with a possibility of the choice of gain amount.

The combination of these functions helps to create on the basis of devices of a management system for electric motors, raising electrical power factor and expanding abilities to manage.

Devices of the TXZ series support the RAMScope interface, it allows to apply parameters in real time, without stopping electric motors, loading parameters of control of engines into OZU. Function of self-diagnostics for control of reference voltage of ATsP and the scheme of calculation of checksums which finds errors for each read operation of memory is implemented. It allows to lower load of the software process necessary for ensuring functional security.

Devices are equipped with outputs in number from 32 to 64 and volume a flash memory from 64 to 128 CBs. Possibilities of information exchange provide the UART, TSPI and I2C interfaces, number of input/output ports from 24 to 52. Range of operating voltage of the device — from 4.5 to 5.5 V. The integral unit of Advanced Vector Engine Plus (A-VE+) of Toshiba company supports vector management and compensation of a delay time, and the scheme of the expanded programmable driver of the electric motor (A-PMD) provides a 3-phase signal output and supports 3-phase correction of electrical power factor with alternation.

Operating temperature range is from -40 °C to +105 °C.
