On August 27, 2024, TRANSNET, a developer of software for mathematical modeling of traffic flows, announced the release of TransNet 2.19.

According to the company, this version includes an expansion of the list of functionality, namely:

• Dynamic distribution of passenger traffic of public transport (OT), taking into account schedules and restrictions on the carrying capacity of public transport.
• Additional capabilities for modeling passenger traffic of public transport, allowing to distribute passenger traffic on OT routes taking into account the time scale, the duration of queues and the priority of passenger service, the time and load of flights.
• Simulation of dynamic equilibrium distribution of passenger traffic along public transport routes by time.

This allows you to:

• Modeling of peak periods, namely modeling of the dynamics of accumulation and maintenance of queues, duration of peak periods, distribution of passenger traffic by time and routes.
• Optimization of the operation of public transport and transport hubs (TPU), as well as public transport schedules (TOP) and calculation of diagrams of the uneven loading of TPU by time and routes.
• Transport services of mass events (development of a transport service plan, modeling of mass delivery and export of visitors, modeling of queues).
• Assessment of direct and indirect socio-economic efficiency of public transport.
• Optimization of visual representation of public transport stops.
• This version of TransNet allows you to flexibly configure public transport stops without changing the transport graph.
• Another possibility of this version is the ability to save several layouts of cartograms with different settings and open the desired cartogram in two clicks.
• Added an Object Property Editor in tabular form that allows you to modify object parameters directly in the table.

Astra Linux Special Edition Compatibility

Astra Group and TransNet LLC conducted tests and confirmed the correctness of the Russian software for transport modeling TransNet in the environment of the secure operating system Astra Linux Special Edition. According to the results of the tests, the Ready for Astra technological partnership program issued certificate No. 16033/2023 of 13.12.2023. Astra Group announced this on January 16, 2024.

TransNet software is the first completely domestic solution that allows you to design the entire list of urban planning transformations both in terms of transport and other infrastructure solutions in terms of forecasts of the intensity of automobile and passenger flows in transport networks.

Using TransNet software, you can determine, for example, where to reconstruct the road, build a bridge, parking, how to organize public transport, how to place buildings and ensure transport accessibility, and so on. As of January 2024, this is a product that does not use third-party solutions of foreign origin. We passed the project in Krasnodar, where one of the requirements of the technical assignment was the compatibility of transport modeling software with the Astra Linux operating system, and we fulfilled this requirement. We are very glad to complete the testing of TransNet compatibility with Astra Linux OS, because now even more Russian users will be able to appreciate the advantages and capabilities of our product, - commented Denis Pchelenok, General Director of TransNet LLC.
