2023: Product Announcement
On October 24, 2023, the German company trinamiX GmbH announced the first in the industry solution for smartphones and mobile devices, allowing you to obtain health data using skin scans. It is assumed that the technology will open up new opportunities in terms of diagnosing disorders and improving the quality of life.
The trinamiX system is based on near infrared spectroscopy. We are talking about the use of wavelengths in the range from 1 to 3 micrometers. The technology makes it possible to non-invasively measure biomarkers on the skin that remain "invisible" to other sensors in smartphones and other gadgets. The trinamiX module can be used in devices based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform: the processor contains eight cores clocked at up to 3.3 GHz, an improved Adreno graphics unit, a new generation artificial intelligence coprocessor and other components.
The data collected by the trinamiX spectrometer makes it possible to estimate, for example, the level of hydration. The obtained indicators can be used to correct the diet in order to improve well-being. In addition, the technology will help improve skin health.
TrinamiX consumer spectroscopy promises to revolutionize how we understand and evaluate our health, nutrition and more. The technology can be compared to a camera that sees what is inaccessible to the human eye, says Wilfried Hermes, director of consumer electronics at trinamiX in North America and Europe. |
Thanks to the open API, developers around the world will be able to use consumer spectroscopy. According to trinamiX, the technology is capable of fundamentally changing the way consumers use mobile devices for health control.[1]
