2020: Confirmation of correct work on platforms with Baikal-M processors
On December 23, 2020 the companies TrueConf also Baikal Electronics announced strategic partnership during which they adapted software TrueConf for work with a command set processor Baikal-M created based on architecture ARM. The compatibility data of solutions will allow to build corporate networks of communications for governmental and the private organizations.
As it was explained, for achievement of an assigned task of TrueConf and Baikal Electronics in 2018 created a joint project team which main goal consisted in optimization of solutions VIDEOCONFERENCING of TrueConf for ARM compatible platforms. Joint researches of the companies came to the end with testing during which correct work of solutions VIDEOCONFERENCING of TrueConf Room and TrueConf for Linux on platforms with Baikal-M processors was confirmed.
TrueConf Room — the software solution TrueConf for the organization and management of video conferences in conference rooms and negotiation premises which supports resolution 4K of UltraHD and gives integration opportunities thanks to existence of the API commands for external control.
The solutions TrueConf compatible to ARM will allow to apply VKS technologies in the systems of the smart cities and the built-in solutions which serve for remote rendering the public or financial services — video booths, contact centers and ATMs and also for remote service of visitors of shops, airports and stadiums.
Such approach is intended to adjust safe real-life communication between citizens and representatives of the state or the large organizations, at the same time having cut down expenses on creation and service of IT infrastructure. Besides, it will allow to avoid the risks connected with use of foreign hardware and software solutions.
Earlier special versions of software of TrueConf for the Raspberry Pi platform which provided carrying out full-fledged video calls and group conferences on the computer of the size of the credit card were released.
