TrueConf Server VSAT

The operator of satellite communication Teleport-Service took part in development of the program TrueConf Server VSAT server with the functionality of a design of video conferences, unique for the VIDEOCONFERENCING equipment, similar to a mixing console. The solution will allow to organize multipoint video conferences on unstable channels with capacity from 64 kbps. TrueConf Server VSAT expanding possibilities of the organization of a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) is a joint development "the Teleport - Service" and TrueConf companies, Russian producer of the systems of a video conferencing. In the new program server which does not have analogs an opportunity when broadcasting to display logos of the companies, credits, creeping line or a welcome screen on the screen that will make video conference air similar to television will be implemented. Parameters are set individually for each conference.

New development will allow to manage the conference course (including connection to it of new participants and switching of attention from one participant to another) far off that will simplify use of the solution and will exclude need of presence of technical specialists on platforms of holding an action. Also record function, both all conference, and a speech of the certain speaker will be implemented.

The server will give the chance to browse video conference (including online) in any necessary format (for example, in the Windows Media Player standard) that becomes premises for significant audience accumulation of an action.

Today Teleport-Service and TrueConf companies implement the first stage of the joint project – the specialized solution of VKS for wireless networks which considers including such feature of satellite channels of data transmission as limitation of available bandwidth on the relay station satellite. The new server allows to set accurately the maximum values of capacity of the entering and proceeding channels and also to change priority of traffic. The program server supports broadcasting on UDP Multicast technology and provides video conferencing on data transmission channels with capacity from 64 kbps.

"The solution of TrueConf company finished by our specialists for uncharacteristic communication channels – on networks of a satellite and radio communication became some kind of intermediate software product on the way from universal to the specialized server. At this stage we provided control accuracy with transmission rates of video signal and an opportunity to organize video conference with use of low-speed links. Throughout cooperation Teleport-Service initiated creation of TrueConf Server VSAT – the server intended especially for wireless networks of communication. As the initiator the operator was responsible for problem definition, development of the concept and development of an architectural part of the solution, – the director "Teleport Service" Kramar Vitaly comments. – The solution already successfully underwent testing for networks of Modern humanitarian academy at remote acceptance of examinations at students of university in more than 400 centers of access of academy located in Russia and the CIS countries. As domestic development, a product can be certified that will allow to use the server in any projects".

The information collection system, its analysis and maintaining statistics implemented in intermediate development gives the chance to trace data on the volume of the transmitted data, time of participation in a conference of each speaker, load of a communication channel, etc. On the basis of the received data the operator, in particular, can estimate the cost of services for subscribers.

Thanks to the implemented solution about 150 active participants and also an unlimited number of the audience can be at the same time connected to video conference. The quality of the transferred picture (HD 1200*720p) conforms to the broadcasting standard.
