2023: Product Announcement
On October 11, 2023, it became known that Russian specialists created a high-speed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called "Tube," designed to carry out combat missions. The drone is capable of destroying armored equipment and enemy artillery in the depths of the front.
According to TASS, referring to information received from a source in the military-industrial complex, the new drone is capable of reaching speeds of up to 250-300 km/h. For comparison: in other domestic UAVs, the speed limit is at around 100-150 km/h, and therefore they are easier to track and shoot down from small arms.
As of the beginning of October 2023, Tubus has no analogues in Russia. The device weighing about 10 kg is launched using a portable installation, the mass of which is approximately 5 kg. Thus, one fighter will be able to use the system without any problems. Another advantage of the drone is that it is resistant to enemy electronic warfare. The product is completely autonomous, since it does not use data received from satellites. "Tube" is aimed at the target at coordinates predetermined by reconnaissance. In this case, the launcher is disposable. The drone successfully passed internal tests, in the future it is planned to use it in the special operation zone. The use of the drone in the field, as noted, is planned to begin before the end of 2023.
The Tube hits the target quickly and it's very difficult to bring it down. The flight range is 30-40 km. Accordingly, he will be able to effectively fight enemy artillery in the depths of the front, with which the biggest problems are now. The product is portable. He shot, threw out the installation and forgot, - said the informed persons.[1] |
