2022: Assembly of electric vehicle for housing and communal services
At the end of October 2022, the Sarapul Power Generation Plant (SEGZ) began serial production of electric vehicles for the housing and communal services (housing and communal services). A new model called UMTET was developed by specialists from the IzhSpetsTech engineering center at the Izhevsk State Technical University named after M. T. Kalashnikov.
The electricity consumption in the standard cycle is about eight kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers of track. This is almost three times less than the Nissan Leaf. Other advantages include simple design, high service life and maintainability, as well as the possibility of using recycled materials, the manufacturer says.
The developers do not name other characteristics of the electric car. However, the UMTET patent states that the length of the machine reaches 3350 millimeters, the width is 1250 millimeters, and the height is 1550 millimeters. The motor is powered by batteries with a capacity of 280 to 360 ampere-hours.
The unified machine has several modifications and can be used in various sectors of the national economy. Different types of attachments can be placed on the platform of an electric car. Depending on its functions, the types of work that an electric car performs also change. This is cleaning of territories, transportation of goods, use as a tractor in various production and logistics areas.
It is significant for us that the project is being implemented with state support. Thanks to this, the plant not only quickly finds common ground with Russian educational and scientific institutions, but also creates high-tech industries, masters new directions, "said Alexander Zavarzin, Development Director of the Sarapul Power Generation Plant, Project Manager.[1] |
