UserGate Mail Server 2.0

The new version of the software product has modular structure. Each module is responsible for work of a certain service, and failure of one of services does not influence work of others. A system automatically corrects errors and restarts the module. UserGate Mail Server 2.0 supports supports the following methods of spam filtering:

• on the basis of DNS (DNSBL, RHSBL, Backscatter, MX, SPF, SURBL);
• on the basis of the system (a cloud antispam) distributed an antispam;
• on the basis of statistics (own implementation of filtering of Bayes).

It should be noted that the cloud antispam has extremely low level of false operation - less, than one on 1.5 million messages. At the same time the level of detection of spam is more than 97%. The software product has in the arsenal the flexible system of rules of an exception from an antispam checks. Safety of an e-mail is ensured now by the anti-virus module Commtouch Zero-Hour based on "cloud" technologies. The Cloud-antivirus allows to conduct pro-active work on fight against Internet threats: fight against a virus begins still before it affects millions of computers.

In the new version of UserGate Mail Server the system of rules on work with the files attached in an e-mail is available. For example, it is possible to prohibit opening of executable files, thereby, having secured a system against infection with trojans.

UserGate Mail Server 2.0 supports work with multiboxes at the level of the general system of rules. Thus, management of mailboxes of the users receiving letters from several accounts is facilitated. In a product the possibility of advanced work with a message queue is implemented. Using this service the user can monitor all processes happening to the specific letter.

UserGate Mail Server 2.0 is capable to perform routing of e-mails. In addition the program checks the e-mail address specified in a route regarding existence. In case of sending the letter to nonexistent E-Mail UserGate Mail Server 2.0 issues the report on impossibility of delivery of the message.

The mail server from Entensys company has ability to integrate with the Active Directory, instead of the synchronization used in the early version of a product now. UserGate Mail Server 2.0 supports integration on IMAP into other mail servers.

Control of UserGate Mail Server 2.0 can be exercised using the web interface without use of the console. Also the task scheduler is added to the software product.

UserGate Mail Server 2.1

UserGate Mail Server 2.1 uses the updated operation algorithm of rules of management of letters. For convenience of users the feature to set names of the boxes containing spaces and also to include external addressees in mailing lists is added. The web interface underwent changes, for example, now the product allows to upload a logo of the company on the first page of the web client and to execute quick search according to messages.

In the history of letters of the new version of the software solution the feature for display of pop-up messages for the column "status" is added. There was a new status "the letter is delivered partially" designating that the message for any reasons did not reach one of addressees.

UserGate Mail Server 2.1 supports work with the distributed domain. Considerable attention of developers was paid to increase in performance measures and stability of work of the software product and also wishes of the acting users of the software solution.

UserGate Mail Server 2.2

In the new version the procedure of search of the letters specified in notifications on delivery \nondelivery of messages is simplified. The system of antivirus protection underwent changes: the new core of the module from Kaspersky Lab is implemented. Work with the fallback-server is improved, in particular, interaction with it on TCP port, excellent from "25" is implemented. Besides, UserGate Mail Server 2.2 began to support the starttls protocol.

Developers carry also out tasks of performance improvement and fault tolerance of the software solution.

2013: UserGate Mail Server 2.9

On November 27, 2013 the Entensys company announced a release of the new version of the UserGate Mail Server mail server - 2.9.

In UserGate Mail Server 2.9 stability of work is increased and the speed of work with the database is improved. The new version of the mail server of Entensys company can be used in the companies with several hundred users. Antivirus protection against Avira is built in a product also along with already available antiviruses. UserGate Mail Server supports work with external mailboxes, including with free, such as Gmail, Mail.ru, Yandex and others.
