VMware ESXi Embedded Host Client - the thin client for management separate a host servers. The client enters standard delivery of ESXi.

2019: ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.33

On February 5, 2019 it became known that VMware was updated by the client for management of separate hosts of ESXi, having released Embedded Host Client of version 1.33.

In the hostovy client of version 1.33 appeared:

• Set of error corrections which arose when importing an OVF template earlier.
• ISO images can be imported from OVA now.
• The problem with special characters in names of datastor on ESXi is corrected.
• Pofikshena the mixed signatures to the diagram of the Network (transmit and receive).
• Network adpter are added to the virtual machine in the correct order.
• The problem with incorrect notifications of a fayervol about outdated licenses is corrected.
• Support of Swedish for input in the VM console.
• WWN and WWPN display of Fibre Channel adapters as 64-bit addresses ^[1].

2018: ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.31

On July 26, 2018 it became known that the VMware company released upgraded version of the client for management separate a host servers - VMware ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.31.

What appeared in Host Client 1.31:

• Problems which were shown in the incorrect choice of values of a combo boxing are corrected.
• The user interface of settings of the client of time synchronization of NTP was updated.
• The framework of AngularJS was updated to version 1.6.10.
• Some errors^[2] are corrected].

2017

ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.24

On November 17, 2017 the VMware company announced updating release - Host Client 1.24.^[3]

The solution allows to manage separate hosts of VMware of ESXi via the web interface constructed based on HTML5. For management of all infrastructure of vSphere vSphere Client is used.

Possibilities of VMware ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.24:

• Pofikshena an error at deployment of an image of OVF/OVA with the disks tied to several disk controllers.

2016

ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.8.1

On September 13, 2016 the VMware company announced an exit of release of the client of ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.8.1.

Among the upgraded opportunities and additions:

• An opportunity to open the SSH console to a host. In the Host actions menu, during the work from the Chrome browser, there is a link to Chrome Web Store for the Chrome SSH Client installation. After installation users can open SSH сесссию to a host through Host Client on any platform (Windows, Mac OS and Linux)^[4].
• The error with falling of the client at the user login with Read Only rights is corrected.
• The bug with validation of disk space when adding of the existing disks to virtual machines is fixed.
• Support for change of alias of iSCSI on hosts is added.
• Support of adding of images of floppy and ISO from the vmimages directory.
• When opening the VM console with set to VMware Tools if the console itself does not align scale on permission, dialog of a request for the user will appear.
• In a vyyura of storage first of all volumes of VMFS are shown.
• During removal of CD ROM devices there is no their validation.
• The option PCI device in the menu was active without active PCI passthrough of devices. It is corrected.
• The bug at purpose of unlimited number of licenses is fixed.

ESXi Embedded Host Client 1.7

On August 2, 2016 it became known of release of release of ESXi Embedded Host Client of version 1.7 by VMware company.

Opportunities^[5] entered this release]:

• New dialog of a response for the user who can send instantly now the message to developers directly from the interface of a product.
• Localizations are added.
• Possibility of size variation and mutual provision of columns in tables that remains at next runs.
• Changes of hello messages in Host Client.
• Failures in the console at the full-screen mode are corrected.
• An opportunity to change the default HTML-console for VMRC.
• Several columns which can be shown for the VM list are added.
• Removal of the virtual switchboard deletes also groups of the ports tied to this switch.

Embedded Host Client 1.5

On June 15, 2016 the VMware company announced an exit of release of Embedded Host Client 1.5^[6].

Main opportunities of Host Client 1.5

• The browser of logs has search capabilities and illuminations of found now.
• Settings are stored as variables in an expanded configuration of a host now, but not in local storage of the browser. It means that the configuration of the client remains between browsers and the user's machines from which he works with the console.
• The visibility column in all tables is remembered now.

• Adding, editing and removal of users.

Storages

• The search capability in the table with iSCSI target is added.
• The data entry field is added during creation of VMFS storage for a possibility of the indication of the exact size of the section at independent splitting a disk into sections.

Network interaction

• The set of errors which were shown when editing rules of the firewall is corrected.
• Support of means of balancing of NIC teaming and management of a band of the channel (traffic shaping) for the virtual switchboards vSwitch and their party groups is added.
