VMware vRealize Build Tools 2.23 with composite type values for vRO

The next update of the vRealize Build Tools 2.23 utility appeared on the VMware Labs project site. This became known on May 12, 2022. This tool allows developers and administrators to work together to implement new scenarios and workflows of vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) using standard DevOps practices.

• Support for composite type values for vRO
• Ability to select custom files for code conversion based on git branch
• Fixed NullPointerException type errors with authentication, storage profiles, json files, and property formFormat
• Ability to replace account field serverId property for all project types
• Fixed error with disappearance of caste resource when importing multi-tenant environment when its ID is specified
• Fixed export errors while processing aliases
• Now vro-type-defs interface definitions are processed correctly
• Added type definitions for MQTT plugin vRO
• Removed plug-in vRO hint from vRBT
• Installer deletes unneeded files that have already been imported
• Fixed an error with polyglot-cache ^[1]

Update vRealize Build Tools 2.20

On February 28, 2022, it became known that an update to the vRealize Build Tools 2.20 utility became available on the VMware Labs project website. With this tool, developers and administrators can work together to implement vRealize Automation and vRealize Orchestrator scripts and workflows using standard DevOps practices.

Changes in version 2.20 (most basic):

• You can extract multiple ABX actions at once and import them using the package-installer;
• The improved reporting mechanism for several instans of vRA;
• Extracted stone forms are now man-readable;
• log4j upgraded to version 2.17.1 to close vulnerabilities;
• The primitive "call for projects" now supports more than 500 projects, and a new type of project has also appeared;
• Updated documentation and use cases;
• Support for creating ABX actions with project settings TypeScript;
• Export now works for more than 20 subscriptions;
• Fixed bugs and improved Blueprints;
• Support of catalog items with casual forms and icons;
• Support of "Memory limit" and "Timeout" attributes;
