2018: Start of service

In May, 2018 the world's largest pornwebsite Pornhub started own VPN service which will allow clients to bypass restrictions of providers and blocking on geographical sign. The cross-platform application under the name VPNHub can be downloaded free of charge, but it is necessary to pay for additional functions.

The premium subscription assuming lack of advertizing, a possibility of the choice of the country (in the test version only servers in USA, in paid — Australia, Brazil, Canada Japan, Singapore Great Britain , etc. are used) and higher speed of connection, will cost $13 a month. The program is available to operating systems Windows macOS, Android and iOS.

VPNHub works in all countries, except with what the USA openly clashes: Myanmar, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. Besides, it is announced possible blocking of service in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and China.

TAdviser downloaded the application and checked its working capacity. In Russia service normally functions. After start the program requests permission to creation of VPN in settings.

The vice president of PornHub Corey Price noted that the VPN project started by the company will provide the additional security level and guarantees confidentiality. According to the representative of the company, no browsers in the mode "incognito" can provide sufficient protection, especially when using public networks Wi-fi.

In the description to VPNHub it is said that the application ciphers data of users and changes their IP addresses for confidential Internet access.

In April-May, 2018 in Russia the surge in demand on VPN services after blocking of the Telegram messenger by Roskomnadzor began to be observed. During this time department limited access to 80 VPN services and a proxy which provide access to  Telegram.^[1]
