Vantage Titan (MRT-scanner)

2017: New version

In June, 2017 the Toshiba Medical company which in 2018 will be renamed into Canon Medical Systems announced the new version of the device for Vantage Titan magnetic resonance imaging.

The producer claims that the new scanner under the name Vantage Titan Zen Edition 1.5T provides Wednesday, quiet and comfortable for patients, for carrying out inspection. The technology of noise cancellation Pianissimo Zen (gradient coils are placed in  the vacuum chamber), thanks to which patients can relax that in turn reduces quantity of artifacts is for this purpose provided and increases quality of images.

The new tomograph has a short magnet with the value of magnetic field 1.5 tesla both a wide tunnel and powerful gradient coils. Thanks to use of this technology of noise reduction from a gradient subsystem basic physical construction of the MRT-tomograph was processed. 

For workflow acceleration the equipment it is equipped the system of matrix Atlas coils for three anatomic areas: heads, front and  back part of a body. All these coils are designed so that they  were easy to be combined for scanning in  intermediate areas.

Besides that the wide tunnel of the tomograph allows to scan patients of a large constitution, it also significantly reduces risk of development of claustrophobia. It is connected not only with the large diameter of a tunnel, but also with the fact that the sound board of a table is displaced below concerning the isocenter. As a result the space for laying of the patient increases in two directions at once.

Vantage Titan Zen Edition 1.5T received technologies for determination of an overload of a myocardium iron and obtaining expanded characteristic of tissue of myocardium for one sigh of the patient. Besides, the program with inversion recovery (PSIR) for improvement of picture contrast and the EasyTech function (completely automatic planning of researches) is provided.^[1]
