2021: Integration with Samsung TAB S6
On February 16, 2021, Vatech, which produces X-ray equipment, announced that it had included the Samsung TAB S6 tablet in the supply of dental visiographs. As of February 2021, the project is at the testing stage, after which the company will begin to equip premium models with tablets, and in the future the entire line. In 2020, Vatech delivered 1,700 viziographers, a supply forecast of 2021 - 2,500 units.
According to the company, on tablets the company presets its own application EzMobile v1.1, which helps to recognize pictures and plan the treatment process.
When the doctor takes an X-ray, the visiograph plate is applied to the patient's tooth, after which it is exposed to X-rays. The image is sent to the computer or tablet to which the visionary is connected. Such a system allows you to obtain intra-mouth pictures without the need to print them. At the same time, it is more convenient to use a tablet, since the patient does not need to go to another office where the computer stands to see the pictures. The visiographer can be connected to an unlimited number of tablets, so you can install one device in each clinic office, which is especially important for large institutions.
EzMobile is a cross-platform application, but only on Android devices all its features are available. Vatech configures tablets with SamsungKnox Configure software, which allows you to use devices from the box. The company does not need additional time to configure the equipment and install the necessary applications, all this happens in automatic mode according to the scenario preset in Knox Configure. Thus, Samsung Knox allows you to simplify and reduce the cost of commissioning equipment, as well as eliminate the influence of the human factor.
When choosing tablets, the decisive factor was that the EzMobile software is better synchronized with Samsung devices, as well as the quality of displays and a concise design that corresponds to the appearance of viziographs. Another possibility was the S PEN kit, which allows doctors to work with a tablet in gloves. In addition, it is much more convenient to "mark" pictures with a handle than with a mouse on a computer screen.
