VentaFax 7.0
VentaFax and Venta4Net are lines of the single-user and network programs intended for acceptance and sending facsimile and voice messages. They are established on personal computers running 32-and 64-bit operating systems of the MS Windows family. Until recently for work of these programs it was necessary to use analog faxmodems for networks of wire telephony (or the devices, compatible on command system, intended for work in networks of cellular or satellite telephony). New versions of VentaFax 7.0 and Venta4Net 3.0, saving a possibility of use of traditional telephony, allow to accept and send faxes and voice messages, locating only access to the Internet and connection to public or internal services of Internet telephony.
With development of Internet technologies and falling of cost of data transmission voice Internet telephony quickly became a popular and inexpensive alternative of classical telephony, especially for the international and intercity communication. Economy arises because the signal passes an essential part of a way not on telephone wires, and via the Internet. At the same time features of the Internet channels and gateways providing conversion of a signal from the form suitable for transfer on channels of telephony to the form suitable for transfer via the Internet also back create certain technical difficulties for implementation of facsimile using the IP telephony (Fax-over-IP, FoIP).
Two alternative technological solutions of real time were for a long time developed for overcoming these difficulties: the special transfer protocol of facsimile data through IP networks (T.38 protocol) and "transparent" transfer of facsimile data "in" the uncompressed voice data coded using the G.711 codec (G.711 fax pass-through). Nevertheless, development of FoIP restrains the insufficient offer of ready-made client solutions for the Windows platform, with rich feature set, not requiring special efforts on implementation working "from a box".
The new versions of VentaFax 7.0 and Venta4Net 3.0 supporting both T.38, and G.711 pass-through are designed to fill this space. Having inherited from previous "purely modem" versions the extensive, developing and perfected for 15 years arsenal of functions, these products are, apparently, the unique solutions of client level for Windows allowing to accept and send faxes using both classical, and Internet telephony. Moreover, multi-line versions of VentaFax and Venta4Net will allow to use both transports at the same time. For example, with their help it is possible to optimize expenses on outgoing telephone communication so that intra-zone calls were automatically made on modem lines, and long-distance and international – via the Internet.
The Venta company at the same time releases a complete line of the products with support of the IP telephony: single-user programs of VentaFax of versions of MiniOffice and Business, including multi-line Business-versions, network packets of Venta4Net and Venta4Net Plus, also in unilinear and multi-line options. Outside this list there is a simplified version of VentaFax Private 7.0 which is positioned by the developer as the home automatic answering machine and does not include support of the IP telephony.
Despite revolutionary changes, Venta does not raise the current prices by the software products. As before, those who acquired right to use of VentaFax or Venta4Net within the last year will receive new versions free of charge, and for other users of the previous versions usual conditions of an update with payment of 30% of cost of the license are offered.
VentaFax 7.2
New versions of VentaFax 7.2 (only business versions, including multi-line) and Venta4Net 3.2 for the first time are provided to the user by convenient access to cloud storages of data, such as Google Drive, Yandex.Disk and others for storage of copies of the got and sent faxes and voice messages. It is also possible to use any cloud storage if it supports access under the WebDAV protocol. At the same time no installation of the separate application from service provider of cloud data storage, connection of the cloud storage as disk is required. The algorithm is constructed in such a way that in unsuccessful attempt of copying (for example, because of failures of connection about the Internet) attempts of copying will be repeated.
Further the developer assumes implementation and other functions connected with use of cloud storages of data.
