2018: USB drive ToughMAX USB 2.0
On March 29, 2018 the Verbatim company provided the USB drive ToughMAX USB 2.0 manufactured of the KyronMAX components – thermoplastic material which replaces metal, is capable to maintain serious adverse conditions and which is used by production with high requirements, from fighters to mountain bicycles. The KyronMAX components easy and strong that does them by good stuff for production of the body of the USB drive which is steady practically against all influences and protects data from any physical damages, emphasized in Verbatim.
The KyronMAX components are made in Piper Plastics company. This material is accepted for use by many industries, including space, medical and automobile and also has strength on a gap in relation to the weight which is much higher, than at steel, noted in Verbatim.

Based on independent testing of SGS company, the USB drive ToughMAX with the body manufactured of the KyronMAX components can maintain:
- blows with effort of crushing to 2,250 kg;
- immersion in water on depth up to 30 m;
- extreme temperatures from -25 °C to 150 °C.
The USB drive ToughMAX USB 2.0 is available in three options: with a capacity of 16, 32 and 64 GB. The Verbatim company on model provides the limited warranty for 2 years.
