ViPNet Administrator

ViPNet Administrator (Administrator)^[1] is the basic software package for setup and management of the protected network including:

ViPNet NCC (Control center, CCN) is the software intended for configuring and management of the virtual protected ViPNet network. ViPNet KC & CA (Certifying and the key center, UKTs) is the software which performs functions of the center of formation of encryption keys and personal keys of users — the Key center and also function of Certification center.

ViPNet NCC solves the following problems:

• Formation of topology of the protected network, by registration of network points, users and communications between them.
• Determination of security policy on each node and formation of the list of the permitted applications which should be executed on each node (enciphering of traffic, the EDS, Business Mail, etc.).
• Automatic mailing to all nodes of information on changes in network topology – new nodes, users, communications, also encryption keys, certificates, CRL.
• Carrying out the automatic centralized ViPNet software updating on nodes of the protected network, including the hardware and software systems ViPNet Coordinator HW.
• Organization of interaction between several networks ViPNet.
• Management of licenses, including hierarchical distribution of licenses by the subordinated networks.
