ViPNet Terminal

ViPNet Terminal is intended for the organization of the full-fledged protected workplace of the user by establishment of the ciphered session with terminal servers of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 under the RDP and Citrix protocol under the ICA/HTTP(s) protocols. ViPNet Terminal supports work with DHCP, provides transparent authorization on accounts of users in the Active Directory using the login and the password or electronic keys – USB tokens. During the work with the application software the product gives the chance to use the EDS keys which are stored on an USB token including for the signature of electronic documents. Besides, it supports work with the network or locally connected printers.

ViPNet Terminal is a miniature computer – the terminal client from the adapted Linux OS and software of ViPNet, 190х25х135 mm in size and weighing 450 grams which can be installed on any modern VESA compatible monitor. It is only required to connect to it the standard USB keyboard and a mouse then to include it in a computer network.

The list of the application software available to the user to work is controlled by the administrator of a terminal server. The user cannot independently set and delete any software, save data on USB flash cards if it is not authorized information security policies.

ViPNet Terminal does not make storage and data processing, and only performs their display on the monitor screen in a terminal session.

As well as ViPNet Client, ViPNet Terminal is the personal network screen and the coder of IP traffic in accordance with GOST 28147-89 therefore it is protected from network attacks and intervention in a terminal session of the user for the purpose of interception of the login and a user password or imposing of false terminal servers. Updating of encryption keys can be performed locally or far off through ViPNet Adminstrator software.

Besides, the product supports work of different multimedia applications that allows to use it in the IP telephony systems and a video conferencing.

For the organization of the ciphered terminal ViPNet Terminal sessions uses not the Windows or Linux OS built-in mechanisms, but ViPNet VPN technology. For this reason before a terminal server of Windows any of the hardware-software cryptogateways ViPNet Coordinator HW should be set, or directly on a terminal server it has to be set to ViPNet Coordinator software. At the same time the set of scenarios of the organization of the protected workplace of the user can be implemented. Now works on certification of the hardware and software system ViPNet Terminal in FSB of Russia according to requirements to KC3 level CIPF are conducted.
