Adding of function of automatic testing of the products Tait in Viavi 3920B devices

The Russian representative office of the international company Viavi Solutions announced on October 29, 2019 agreement signature with the Tait Communications company specializing in development and release of the integrated radio communication solutions. Within the agreement of Viavi will provide automatic testing of the products Tait in the flagman Viavi 3920B Radio Test Platform devices.

Among devices for which functions of automatic testing – portable radio stations of lines Tait P25 and Tait DMR intended for police officers of fire and other services which activity is connected with the increased risk will be implemented and requires the guaranteed uninterrupted communication – both for the solution of assigned tasks, and for preserving of own life and health of employees.

For October, 2019 the Viavi 3920B platform works with the broad range of frequencies (from 10 MHz to 2.7 GHz), provides a full range of measurements analog and digital radio systems of different producers and includes sets of autotesting and approval. The platform supports, including, such standards and technologies as AM, FM, SSB, NXDN, TETRA and dPMR.

The complete solution for testing, calibrations and supports of permanent operability of communication devices

On August 28, 2019 the Russian representative office of the international company VIAVI Solutions presented the complete solution for testing, calibrations and supports of permanent operability of communication devices for the emergency and rescue services. The presented solution, according to the developer, will ensure the guaranteed functioning even in the most adverse external conditions, including at the fires and other emergencies. The reliable communication in such situations is crucial – and for accomplishment of a task, and for preserving of life and health of employees.

As noted in VIAVI Solutions, a basis of work of any radio station – the built-in frequency generator which even for expensive high-quality devices can "leave", get off over time. For this reason the radio station requires periodic calibration. Especially it is relevant for digital radio stations with a small step of channels. If this or that channel is occupied, then imposings and failures at enciphering/decoding are possible. In the manual mode calibration can occupy more than half an hour, and requires participation of the qualified technician. It is one of the reasons why calibration is not executed with required frequency. Using the solution for automatic calibration and testing proposed by VIAVI, this work takes no more than five minutes, at the same time can be executed by the employee with the minimum skills. Than the procedure – that high probability is simpler that results will not depend on a human factor and that calibration will always take place according to regulations, claim in VIAVI Solutions.
