2019: APEX 2019

On January 24, 2019 the Vivo company announced release of the APEX 2019 smartphone. The first the 5G smartphone of Vivo offers design of the streamline glass body without openings, seams or connectors.

According to the company, APEX 2019 represents laconic and frameless and seamless design. The device implements non-standard approach to use of smartphones thanks to total absence of physical buttons — they are replaced by Touch Sense technology which combines capacitive transducers and pressure sensors. As a result of study of the software pressure sensors are capable to determine precisely its force, and capacity buttons to set the place of clicking.

Usual USB ports are replaced with modern MagPort — the magnetic power connector which provides battery power of the device and data transmission. The technology allows to optimize use of the smartphone and to make its body more compact and complete.

The APEX 2019 display plays an earpiece role thanks to Body SoundCasting technology. The sound is transmitted on a surface by means of vibration, excepting need of creation of additional openings for the body.

APEX 2019 is equipped with technology of full-screen scanning of fingerprints using the sensors which are built in the display. This technology allows users to unblock easily the screen, having touched it practically in any place. For simplification of process of an unblocking the Fingerprint Light function is implemented: when the finger of the user approaches the display, pixels in an expected common ground are automatically highlighted.

The sensor, bigger on the area, opens opportunities for security. At a device output from the mode of the inactive screen it is enough to concern an icon of the necessary application that at the same time identify the user on a fingerprint and to instantly open the application.

The first the smartphone from Vivo works as a 5G at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform and 256 GB have amount of memory in 12 +, it is equipped by the personal assistant to Jovi AI Assistant and many other intellectual functions. Availability of mobile network 5G considerably increases quality of watching videos, online of games and other user scenarios.

In APEX 2019 the issue of the limited place for the motherboard, thanks to Duplex PCB Design — the double-sided printed circuit board was resolved. Such solution allows to make room for placement of a 5G modules, doing the smartphone body really integral.
