Version of VideoMost Server 6.0

The partner of SPIRIT Rostelecom set the version of VideoMost 6.0 in the DPC and began to provide a cloud service of "Web video conference" on its basis. Rostelecom on the VideoMost platform more than 2,000 corporate clients use cloud services. VideoMost is included into the unified register of the Russian software of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.

Since 2012 PJSC Rostelecom provides to the state and corporate clients service of "Web video conference". The service is constructed on the domestic VideoMost software product of SPIRIT company which enters the Unified Register of the Russian software. Access to service can be got on the portal of web video conferences of PJSC Rostelecom, having selected one of tariff plans. PJSC Rostelecom offers four rates, including for large business, the companies with the state participation and public authorities.

Characteristics of the solution

The Web-videokonferentsii service gives the chance of simultaneous interactive participation of 100 videos of users in one conference in regime of "all-see-all" that allows to organize video meetings and video selectors for federal and regional executive authorities of the Russian Federation (central office and 85 regions) and the big distributed holdings.

It is possible to be connected to sessions of a video conferencing of "Web video conference" using the browser on the PC and notebooks and also through mobile applications, set on smartphones and tablets on Android and iOS. For video conferencing the "video engine" of the Russian company SPIRIT working in all modern browsers is used, the WebRTC technology for work without plug-ins is in addition supported.

The VIDEOCONFERENCING Rostelecom service based on VideoMost provides the offer, unique for the Russian market of video conferences, - 100 simultaneous interactive videos by participants in one conference in regime of "all-see-all" that allows to organize VKS for all 85 regions of Russia and the big distributed holdings.

As of July, 2017 video conferences based on VideoMost use more than one and a half thousand corporate clients of PJSC Rostelecom, including regional divisions of government institutions, and clients from the commercial sector.

Advantages cloud VKS of service are ease of use and low cost. VideoMost supports all fundamental international standards of communication and popular open protocols that allows customers to use the hardware systems of third-party producers which were earlier purchased by them, such as Polycom, Cisco, Avaya, Huawei, etc. In the nearest future PJSC Rostelecom is going to deploy based on VideoMost PaaS the solution in which in addition to a connectivity to hardware codecs under the SIP and Ruble 323 protocols, integration from Skype for Business and integration with LDAP will be implemented.

"Web video conferences" can be used both at office, and at remote work for customer interaction, partners and suppliers. The service differs in mobility and provides video of HD quality and broad tool kit for joint work - demonstration of applications and a desktop, joint work over documents, file sharing, a board for drawing, etc.

Agreement details between PJSC Rostelecom and SPIRIT

In 2012 PJSC Rostelecom and the Russian company SPIRIT, VideoMost software developer, started service of web video conferences for the state and corporate segment. In October, 2016 it was announced prolongation of cooperation and signing of the new agreement on licensing of VideoMost for 5 years. Contract amount was more than 100 million rubles.

According to TAdviser, between the companies the agreement on separation of revenue is signed. Such form of the agreement provides the involvement of vendor into all aspects of providing service including for ensuring first and high-quality technical support.

Technical support on service "Web video conference" is given on typical circuit: the first line – the call center operator Rostelecom, the second line – service of operation of the service platform and the third – SPIRIT developers. This scheme well proved during operating time under the previous agreement and was reproduced in new.

For all years of providing service there was no unplanned stop of service, told TAdviser in SPIRIT.
