Wialon Logistics is the universal program created for control of all stages of work of the delivery services. The application helps to solve the whole range of problems in spheres of logistics and transportation of goods:
- organization of transportations;
- optimization of transport processes;
- cost reduction.
Are the web version for the manager a part of new service and mobile application for the driver or the courier.
Web version of Wialon Logistics
The web version provides administration of workflows: placement of requests, planning and distribution of requests, optimization of routes and also tracking and coordinating of process of delivery. The version is available to managers as the application in the system interface of Wialon or to the address logistics.wialon.com. Work with requests is carried out in several stages.
Requests
At the beginning of work the user needs to create the request, having specified necessary information:
- name of the request and its cost;
- address, temporary window and radius;
- customer information (name, phone, e-mail);
- characteristics and description of goods;
- unloading time.
Filling of obligatory fields provides easy search and filtering of requests further. Detailed information in the request promotes effective communication the manager-driver-client, helps to avoid errors at personal customer interaction and more precisely to calculate delivery time of goods.
An opportunity to attach the file during creation of the request will always allow to hold near at hand documents, whether it be the delivery note, payment confirmation, the list of products or client's photo, necessary for the request.
The possibility of import of data is also provided in Wialon Logistics. In an import regime of requests from .csv of files a system reads out necessary yielded and issues results of the preliminary analysis of requests with which afterwards you should work. This function will accelerate and will simplify process of creation of requests for the large companies which use third-party accounting systems for formation of requests.
Planning of a route
The stage of planning consists of 3 steps — the choice of requests, the choice of the CU and preliminary distribution of requests for the CU.
In the Planning tab it is possible to browse requests in a tabular style and also arrangement of the target addresses on the card. For convenience different filters as, for example, on delivery time and on the areas of delivery assigned to a warehouse are provided in the program.
The binding of geozones or objects to warehouses will provide the correct resource allocation of vehicle fleet of the company in this region and, therefore, will help to save a time available for delivery and expenses on fuel.
Control of a warehouse is exercised in settings of the program where it is also possible to set default characteristics for requests. Thus, if you constantly create a set of the same requests, you should not configure each of them again.
On the next stage the manager has a possibility of the choice of the vehicle. Information on available vehicles is presented in a tabular style with a possibility of filtering as the CU.
At the third stage a system automatically distributes the selected requests for specified by the CU. Criteria for distribution of requests are: routing (the minimum time and distance), accounting of a window of delivery and time of unloading, optimal filling on the net volume and weight.
As a result of work of distribution function the manager receives previously created routes with information on the planned time of visit of requests and I will run.
Until routes are saved, the manager can look at quality of distribution of requests by the CU and, if necessary, introduce amendments, i.e. exclude the request, throw it on another the CU or change the sequence of accomplishment then a system will count routes according to changes.
If everything suits the manager, he confirms distribution, and a system begins to monitor their accomplishment.
Control of routes
In this mode the manager can monitor passing of routes in a system and quickly react to different situations, having contacted the driver by phone or the built-in chat.
Routes are provided both in a tabular style, and on the card where information on requests and the status of their accomplishment is displayed: the sequence of passing, the facts of temporary deviations from planned (delay, advancings), the facts of admissions and the goods deliveries.
Existence in the system of comprehensive information on passing of routes allows to use fully analytical opportunities of the application for creation of route sheets or reports on requests. Automation of these processes saves time of office specialists and facilitates work of drivers.
Mobile version of Wialon Logistics
Mobile iOS/Android the version is intended for couriers or other mobile workers. After authorization by the phone number, a system begins search of the driver in the specified number and checks its appointment to the vehicle.
At detection of the vehicle, in mobile application requests with detailed information and their arrangement on the card are displayed. Having obtained all necessary information, the driver can begin work without delay.
Online the driver can notify the manager on the course of accomplishment of requests (confirming or canceling delivery), to leave a photo and the comment about delivery and also to use a chat for contact with the manager or to call the client if his phone number is known. The adjusted communication between the company and the client will allow to solve any problem which arose in the course of delivery whether it be a delay or damage of goods.
It is possible to select a layer of cards and quality of photos from settings. Besides, the driver has an opportunity to center the card on the CU or to see all route, to browse requests for a certain time frame or to switch along several routes. Thus, the driver always knows the location, distance to the request and the status of passing of a route.
