Windows Media Center (the code name Freestyle) is the application for playing of multimedia content (music, images and stream television) on the home media center. Has so-called "10-foot design" of the user interface, i.e. controls are rather big to see texts on them from three-meter distance.
Windows Media Center is included in structure of Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows Vista (the version of Home Premium and Ultimate) and Windows 7 (the version of Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate). It is possible to manage it far off through "Green Button" ("The green button") and also using a normal mouse and/or the keyboard. This button is used to start Windows Media Center or to open the Start menu without leaving the application. Media Center loses images of the user, video and music from local hard drives, optical disks and from network. It sorts them by name, date, tags and other attributes of files.
