Sitronics IT developed a mobile data processing center Daterium of MDC20 which can be placed in specially made container which on dimensions corresponds to the containers ISO 20. The Rosatom state corporation equipped these data centers with the autonomous systems of work applied in the nuclear industry and nuclear power engineering.
Sitronics became more active in the market of World Data Centres
The chief business architect Sitronics Vladimir Aleev in an interview of TAdviser reported that the company is going to begin deliveries of the updated line of Daterium in the second half of 2013 after obtaining the patent for the useful Daterium2 model.
According to the Aleev, the direction of World Data Centres for the company rather new. The choice of a similar segment was caused by the need for the relevant decisions of a "sisterly" operating company of cellular communication of MTS, in connection with rapid growth and a certain shortage of the server areas.
"To the address to Sitronics IT MTS bought modular (not mobile) DPC of BlackBox from Sun Microsystems. Experience of its installation, a commissioning and operation showed the areas needing serious completion". The Aleev assured that when developing Daterium all factors and experience of implementations of the similar systems of other companies were considered.
Patenting of useful model
As reported TAdviser in the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIIP), for September 6, 2012 examination in essence" concerning patenting of "Daterium2" continued ". According to rules of department, the answer at the request of the company should be provided within 12 months from the date of giving of a complete document package.
Sitronics IT submitted the application for patenting on December 29, 2012 (the copy of the document is at the disposal of TAdviser) and within a month a formal inspection of documentation and payment of corresponding was carried out went. Thus, since February 28, 2013 Sitronics IT can offer the clients a patent product.
Scopes and sales market
According to the Aleev, World Data Centres have 2 main directions of application:
- Operational expansion of server premises at restrictions for construction or lack of suitable premises in the building of the customer;
- Operational creation of the main or reserve DPC on the open area when construction of the capital building on it is impossible or is undesirable for the climatic, technical or legal reasons.
Answering a question of sales markets the Aleev told that "it is more correct to speak about market segments with steady demand and supply capacity. Geographically is all territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS country which recognize the certificates of conformity issued in Russia". "It includes all climatic zones – from Far North to subtropics. On the industries – it is the main consumers of DPC in telecommunication, financial and state sectors. Due to the economic recovery of industrial enterprises of Russia this sector also becomes target", - the Aleev told.
Development Plans
The company sees high potential in solutions of World Data Centres and therefore will be engaged in dense development of this direction.
"Our plans include the commercial and technology directions", - the Aleev continued. In the commercial direction - this expansion of the offer as directly, and through partners (regional system integrators), actions for promotion of the solution. In the technology direction – this improvement of the current models regarding their energy efficiency and remote control and also development of new models of modular DPCs for use both out of, and in premises. "New models will be more flexible regarding the choice of a configuration ("all in one" or specialized modules). We are going to begin their release in the second half of 2013", - the Aleev concluded.
Cost
The cost of "Daterum-2" (50 kVA in a 20-foot container) in a basic complete set is 12.3 million rubles. The cost of "Daterium-3" (120 kVA in a 40-foot container) is calculated depending on technical requirements for placement of the planned set of the IT equipment and approximately is 24.7 million rubles.
Market of World Data Centres
The relative volume of the Russian market of mobile DPCs of commercial use (without considering container solutions of a special purpose) less, than in more developed countries, such as the USA and countries of Western Europe. "If there it makes about 6% of all market of DPC with annual growth in 100%, then by our estimates in Russia this share makes about 2%, but with well browsed tendency to growth. Thus, Russia is within universal trends, but lags behind on time a little", - the Aleev continued. The share Sitronics in the Russian market of mobile DPCs makes about 40%.
Competition
Among main competitors Sitronics IT in the Russian market MTSODOV it is possible to note Technoserv of A/C, Cherus, "President Neva" and Computing systems.
