The St. Petersburg data center of Xelent started in the summer of 2017 a series of updates for own cloud platform of Xelent.Cloud. In upgraded version additional security keys and the customized functions appeared: users will be able to manage capacity and data transfer rate of external channels for expense optimization now.
The platform creates the ready virtual server, management of which happens via the interface of Xelent.cloud. The platform supports different versions OS Windows (2008, 2012 and 2016), distribution kits Linux (Ubuntu, Debian and CentOS), BSD and offers the server from already preset CMS – Bitrix Joomla or Drupal. Xelent.Cloud can organize virtual private networks between servers with capacity in 1 Gbps. The minimum configuration based on Windows OS – 1 core, 3 Gbytes of RAM and the drive on 50 Gbytes with Windows Server 2016 – will cost 1750 rubles a month.
The user can select a ready configuration of the server or set parameters manually. Own templates of virtual servers can be created independently – it is made for convenience of the companies integrators. Access to a control panel the virtual server is provided free of charge, and configuration changes, as well as change of type of a disk, are reflected in a system at once and do not require reset of the server. The platform provides SSH-and web access to servers for convenience of remote work. Load of the equipment is shown in real time visual graphics, and backup copies are created automatically.
Also there was an opportunity to manage the guarantee speed of external data transmission channels – the user can increase it to 100 Mbps. Bandwidth control of the channel is available both in the user panel, and via the program interface (API) of a cloud of the company now. In new Xelent.Cloud it is possible to change data transfer rate of the external channel of the virtual server now to optimize expenses. At the same time, network connections between virtual machines in a cloud still have the same capacity (1 Gbps).
In terms of security: in addition to two-factor authentication the ready account can be protected SSH keys already during creation of Linux server.
