2019: Start of options of support of a long format and fluorescent yellow toner for iGen 5

On September 26, 2019 Xerox company announced start of two options for the Xerox iGen 5 CFM : support of a long format (iGen 5 XLS) and fluorescent yellow toner. These improvements will expand possibilities of use of the machine and will increase its performance.

Options are designed to increase flexibility, performance and scalability of Xerox iGen 5 printing machines in which installation our customers invested. told Tracey Koziol, the senior vice president of division of Global Offerings of Xerox company

According to the company, iGen 5 XLS allows to print without performance penalty on sheets up to 889 mm in length with industrial submission and laying of sheets a building berth. Thanks to support of a long format it is possible to place more copies of products on the sheet that adds up to 25% to performance of Xerox iGen 5. At the same time printing houses can increase flexibility of use of the machine, adding types of products, such as booklets with three folds, covers of books, banners, large-format stickers, panoramic graphic works and multiband notebooks.

In the fifth section Xerox iGen 5 installation of a fluorescent yellow toner along with available earlier orange, green, blue, white and transparent is possible now.

Having expanded possibilities of color print on Xerox iGen 5, printing houses will be able to offer clients a wide choice of die colors and color effects. The fluorescent yellow toner shines in UV rays that allows to use it for printing of products to which it is necessary to draw special attention: the warning signs, covers and jackets, cardboard packaging, direct mailing and promotional materials.
