2022: Aquarium Announcement

On December 26, 2022, Xiaomi announced a new smart home product - a product called MIJIA Smart Fish Tank: this is an intelligent aquarium that you can stay months away from for maintenance.

The solution received a side surface with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. The walls are made of ultra-transparent Jinjing UHA class glass, which has a light transmittance of 91.3%: this is claimed to provide a great aesthetic indoors. An integrated multi-mode illumination is provided, which will provide the necessary growth efficiency of aquatic plants.

The design of the aquarium includes a patented self-cleaning water pump, a fish food tank, a five-stage professional-level filtration system and a temperature sensor. The pump is equipped with a high-speed brushless motor and a rotating stainless steel cutting head with two blades. The latter is able to effectively cut weeds, mucous membranes and other contaminants formed in the reservoir. Therefore, according to Xiaomi, there is no need to change the water in the aquarium for up to six months. The drain is carried out using a side suction pump by simply pressing a button.

The MIJIA mobile application is used for remote control of the aquarium. It allows you to adjust the frequency of feeding (including the volume of feed supplied) and adjust the lighting parameters to optimize the growth of algae. It is allowed to change the water flow rate depending on the species and density of the fish. In addition, it is possible to raise or lower the temperature depending on the species of inhabitants of the tank. At the top of the novelty there is an indicator that displays the operating parameters. The price of the aquarium will be approximately $50.^[1]
