Mi Notebook Air is a series of notebooks of production of Xiaomi.

2019: Mi Notebook Air 2019

On March 26, 2019 the company Xiaomi held the presentation of the notebook Mi Notebook Air 2019. Mobile computer is based on processor Intel Core the 8th generations and it is delivered in the aluminum body.

According to the company, three configurations of the notebook are offered buyers. Differences between models consist in the central processor and the internal memory – the amount of RAM of DDR4 standard at Xiaomi is invariable and is 4 GB.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 2019 can brag of the small sizes and the lost weight. The mass of the notebook together with the accumulator does not exceed 1.07 kg at the maximum thickness of 13 mm.

Length and width are equal to 292х202 mm, despite existence of the screen with diagonal 12.5 inches. Reduction of dimensions became possible due to decrease in width of a side framework of the display – here they are 5.7-millimeter. Width of upper and lower borders is not specified by the producer.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 2019 screen supports resolution of Full HD or 1920х1080 points in all configurations and involves a matrix of IPS with wide angles of the overview (178 degrees in vertical direction and horizontals). The notebook keyboard insular, is present LED illumination (even at the basic version), and the touchpad has the increased dimensions for additional convenience of using. The block of number keys numpad is not provided in view of the shortage of the space for it on the body.

The list of connectors includes one symmetric port USB- C, to steam full-size USB 3.0 and a 3.5-millimeter exit under earphones. Fingerprint scanner for additional protection information is not present, but there is acoustics Harman of Kardon with support of volume sounding of DTS. The notebook works under management OS Microsoft Windows 10.

Mi Notebook Air 2019 is delivered in two flowers of the body – silvery and golden. Classical black and white shades for given models are not provided. Xiaomi does not specify the accumulator capacity and operating time of the notebook from it, but it is known that the complete charger is capable to fill 50% of energy in it in 35 minutes. Time of complete recharge is not determined.

The start of sales of Mi Notebook Air 2019 is appointed to March 28, 2019 in China.

Mi Notebook Air 2019 left only three months later from the moment of the announcement of the previous generation of model – the version of Mi Notebook Air 2018 with the Intel processor Core of the seventh generation was issued on December 22, 2018 Xiaomi did not make statements concerning the termination of sales of Mi Notebook Air 2018 yet, but it can quite compete with upgraded version: in it there is more powerful processor, than in modification of Mi Notebook Air 2019. On the other hand, the internal memory in it is twice less.^[1]

2017: Mi Notebook Air 13

The MICS company in December, 2017 announced start of sales in Russia of Xiaomi Mi Air notebooks, namely — the Mi Notebook Air 13 models from Xiaomi.

Distinctive feature of the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air model – the processor of the 7th generation of Intel Core i5 with a frequency up to 3.1 GHz and the video card Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB thanks to what the notebook can be used as the workstation for work with "heavy" applications and programs.

The model is equipped with all necessary interfaces and connectors, including USB-C on the controller USB 3.0 which can be used both for notebook charging, and for synchronization of other devices. Wireless interfaces are submitted by modules Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The capacious battery of the device will provide till 8 o'clock independent operation.

Mi Notebook Air 13 model

The strict aluminum body of the notebook is executed in the spirit of minimalism. The glossy screen of the device using an IPS matrix provides high quality of the picture with saturated colors. Well thought over construction of the cooling system does operation of the computer almost noise-free.

The notebook from the preset OS Windows 10 Home is completely localized by the official authorized importer of Xiaomi. The delivery includes the charger and the instruction in Russian. The guarantee for the notebook makes 1 year in all authorized STs.

2016: Mi Notebook Air

On July 27, 2016 Xiaomi officially announced the entry into the market of notebooks. The Mi Notebook Air model running Windows 10 became the first such device from the Chinese producer.

Innovation will be available in two versions — with screens on 13.3 inches and 12.5 inches with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 points. Both modifications are put into the metal body of golden or silvery color, have USB connectors 3.0, HDMI and USB Type-C, modules of wireless communication Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.1 and also the webcam with a HD matrix and several microphones.

The 12.5-inch model weighing 1.07 kg is completed with the Intel processor Core m3 6Y30 with clock rate to 2.2 GHz and the graphic Intel HD Graphics 515 block, 4 Gbytes of RAM LPDDR3 and the solid state drive on 128 Gbytes (installation of an additional SSD disk is possible). The device is powered from the accumulator on 37 Vt*ch and is capable to work without recharge till 11.5 o'clock.

13.3-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air received the 2.7-GHz  Intel Core i5 6200U chip, the video card Nvidia Gefore GT 940MX, 8 Gbytes of the DDR4 RAM and four drives NVMe SSD with a capacity of 256 Gbytes. Capacity the battery is equal to 40 Vt*ch, functioning time without recharge — 9.5 hours, weight — 1.3 kg. For comparison, Apple MacBook Air has thickness of 17 mm and weight of 1.28 kg.

Mi Notebook Air will be delivered with Windows 10 Home with support of the cloud storage of Mi Cloud Sync. The possibility of synchronization with a bracelet of Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is also provided that will allow users to unblock the computer when opening a cover.

Mi Notebook Air weighs less MacBook Air

The 12.5-inch version of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is estimated by the producer at 3.5 thousand yuans (about $524), and 13.3-inch — at 5 thousand yuans ($749). Sales of the notebook in the Chinese market start on August 2, 2016. Emergence of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air in Russia is quite probable, considering availability of smartphones and tablets in our country.^[2]
