In early December 2024, Xiaomi announced the Mijia smart dryer with a large number of programs and a variety of additional features. The novelty is offered at an estimated price of $500.

The machine has a depth of 540mm, so it can be built into most standard kitchen or laundry sets. The device is designed to load up to 10 kg of laundry. In particular, up to 45 shirts or up to 12 pairs of jeans or two sets of four-piece bedding can be dried at a time. There are three main modes: "storage" (for things to be folded into a closet), "ironing" (for laundry followed by smoothing) and "immediate use" (for wardrobe items that can be worn immediately after drying).

A total of 27 programs are available. Of these, 16 can be activated through the built-in control panel, while another 11 are configured through a companion mobile application. The ion cleaning function is implemented, which eliminates bacteria, odors, static electricity and reduces the number of folds on clothes.

The drum has a diameter of 581 mm. Its rotation in various directions is controlled by special algorithms, thanks to which the confusion of things and the formation of nodes is prevented. The NBR noise reduction system and a fan with an impeller of a special design provide almost silent operation. The Mijia dryer can be integrated into the smart home ecosystem. In this case, it is allowed to synchronize the operation of the device with other equipment, for example, a washing machine. Users will be able to monitor the condition of the equipment and configure parameters remotely through a smartphone or tablet. The novelty is made in white.^[1]
