In April, 2017 Philips Healthcare and B companies. Braun, among world leaders in the field of deliveries of products for health sector, announced the strategic cooperation aimed at the development of technologies of introduction of local anesthesia by means of the ultrasonic equipment.
Result of partnership of Philips and B. The ultrasonic Xperius system intended for introduction of a local anesthesia became Braun. The solution represents the equipment moved on the cart and managed by means of the tablet.
Joint efforts of the company will develop and advance the technologies for anesthesiologists differing improved by visualization of needles and management and also optimization of technology processes and resource planning.
Some of our ultrasonography devices, such as Sparq, have functions of regionarny anesthesia by means of ultrasound — the representative of Philips in an interview to the HCB News edition says. — Unlike Sparq which is a universal ultrasonic system for intensive therapy Xerius is specially developed for local anesthesia and vascular access under ultrasonography control. |
Philips also notes that Xperius has the intuitive user interface and ergonomic design which are necessary for simplification and acceleration of the procedure of introduction of local anesthesia.
Philips and B. Braun will be offered anesthesiologists and medical institutions of service in the field of training, services and support. By the beginning of March, 2017 the Xperius platform already got approval for sale in the USA and Europe. This system will extend under brands of Philips and B. Braun through a global network of the last, and will be responsible Philips for equipment installation and service support.[1]
