Yenisei (hematological system)

2024: Use in SOCB# 1

On February 1, 2024, it became known about the commissioning of the Yenisei automatic hematological analyzer. The equipment began to be used in the laboratory diagnostics department of the Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 (SOKB No. 1).

According to SOKB No. 1, only one person is required to control the device. According to forecasts, the device will fully cover the hospital's need for general blood tests as part of the Healthcare project.

The analyzer is included in the new line of domestic equipment "Rivers of Russia." According to the head of the laboratory diagnostics department, Pyotr Bochkarev, SOKB No. 1 became the first regional hospital to implement this hematological system.

The advantage of the device is that we can both perform a general clinical blood test according to the simplest scenario, and use the specialized diagnostic capabilities of the device. Today, this hematological analyzer allows you to perform the widest range of blood studies, Bochkarev explained.

Thanks to the improved fluorescent staining technology, Yenisei is able to determine additional indicators, automate the calculation of the leukocyte blood formula, as well as differentiate abnormal cells and analyze biofluids. The device is also planned to be used in teaching students, since students of the UGMU and UrFU are practicing in the hospital.

To use the device, additional training is not required, the laboratory assistant simply must set the necessary parameters, and the analyzer does all the work himself. This saves time and eliminates the need to check the tests under a microscope. In an hour, Yenisei is able to process up to 100 samples.^[1]
