On October 22, 2018 the ZyXEL Communications company presented the solution for software-defined global networks of Nebula SD-WAN providing to the enterprises a possibility of creation of inexpensive high-performance WAN. The solution supports a line of firewalls of ZyXEL of the VPN series and allows to resolve quickly the majority of issues of management and monitoring of distributed networks.
Nebula SD-WAN is created for the unified network management. A key solution component is the managing Nebula Orchestrator web portal. In combination with firewalls of ZyXEL of the VPN series considerably facilitates work of users, saves from break of telephone conversations, provides stable safe connection and centralized operation.
If earlier most corporate networks did not go beyond office of the company, then now they extend on data centers, service providers and clouds. Even when using such technologies as MPLS, WAN networks cannot satisfy requirement of modern business. The companies need WAN working also quickly and reliably as a local network. Nebula SD-WAN delivered in a packet with a flexible configuration and the affordable price solves this problem, providing almost instant significant performance improvement and improvement of productivity of all net surfers. Significant improvement of price relation and performance of Nebula SD-WAN solves many problems of functioning of distributed networks which the companies having several working locations connected with each other on the Internet face. First of all it increases security and connection speed. And using optimization of WAN and the dynamic choice of a route eliminates idle times, prevents break of connection at phone calls and video conferences, improves communication quality on platforms where there is no stable Internet access. Nebula Orchestrator works with products of ZyXEL VPN50/100/300 series for which the packet of the licenses SD-WAN Pack License is delivered. This packet includes the zero-touch provisioning functions (an automatic configuration) and AutoVPN saving from need to hold on each platform of the IT specialist for WAN connection service. The companies can update the SD-WAN Pack after expiration of the license SD-WAN Pack License which is included in the delivery. If the company needs only management using Orchestrator without use of the expanded SD-WAN functions, then it can return to a packet of the licenses Management Pack License. This packet uses Nebula Orchestrator for providing zero-touch provisioning, VPN, the firewall and other functions, but does not support a part of the SD-WAN functions and other functions, for example, App Patrol and content filtering.
