Ministry of Defence India approved an accelerated purchase Russia from 288 missiles for anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 in the amount of 100 billion rupees ($1 billion). The purchase will include 120 missiles with a range of 40 km and 168 missiles with a range of 150 to 400 km. As part of the contract, Russia will form a center for the maintenance and repair of these air defense systems in India. This was reported in February 2026 by the Hindustan Times, citing sources.[1]
