2025: Transition to GeoniCS
FSUE "NO RAO", the company, which has the exclusive right to the final isolation of radioactive waste in, through of the Russian Federation implementation nanoCAD GeoniCS has solved a number of tasks related to the design and verification of construction project documentation, as well as the ability to model utilities in 3D. This was Nanosoft development announced on September 30, 2025.
Providing a solution to the problems of the accumulated Soviet nuclear heritage and the newly formed RW, the company is, in fact, a state-owned production and environmental enterprise, the key goal of which is the final isolation of RW, taking into account any potential environmental risks. The enterprise is responsible for the entire life cycle of structural versions of RW final isolation points - from design to construction and operation. Key tasks of the personnel include: control of design documentation, its support and control of construction and installation works.
Prior to the implementation of nanoCAD GeoniCS, it took a significant part of the time for incoming control of the PPD and verification of as-built documentation.
Nanosoft product selection criteria:
- possibility of creating topographic plans;
- availability of functional preparation of master plans for enterprises;
- functionality for calculating the volume of earth masses;
- availability of tools for design of external on-site utilities (underground and ground type);
- possibility to design linear-extended objects with preparation of: (alignment plan, longitudinal profile, cross sections).
As a result, a smooth transition from AutoCAD to nanoCAD GeoniCS was ensured thanks to a similar interface and intuitive software.
Functionality is fully preserved: all tasks previously performed in AutoCAD and other software are implemented in full in nanoCAD GeoniCS. Acceleration of PPD incoming inspection processes (design and detailed design documentation) and as-built documentation verification.
A qualitative leap has been achieved: the possibility of modeling engineering networks in 3D made it possible to organize a transition from traditional 2D general plans and network summary plans to the creation of full-fledged 3D digital general plans.
The transition to domestic software exceeded expectations, opening up new prospects for development and giving impetus to ambitious projects. He clearly showed: 3D modeling is not the future, but the current production reality.
