2026: Digitalization of Risk Management
On February 10, 2026, GREATIVE announced that PROGRESS JSC digitalized risk management using the RISK RADAR automated risk management system (ASUR). The system allows you to assess possible threats to business and reduce the likelihood of negative consequences, including reputational losses.
As reported, modern companies face a complex of challenges every day: from the strictest requirements for safety and product quality to the rapid growth of business scale. Pre-existing risk management tools have ceased to match the speed and complexity of business processes. The Department for Operational and Financial Risk Management under the leadership of Kristina Buyanova has formed a strategy for the development of RMS for 2023-2025. One of the key goals was to create an automated system that can not only record incidents, but proactively manage challenges and capabilities.
The result of the work was the development and implementation of its own automated risk management system "RISK RADAR" based on the Directum RX platform. You can work in the system with both realized and potential risks, including commercial, legal, organizational, financial, production, logistics, information security risks, etc.
| With the help of RISK RADAR, we identified and worked over 100 Risk Passports in 14 areas of legislative regulation, implemented more than 40 control procedures. The speed of risk information exchange between divisions increased 3 times, the transparency of corporate governance and the quality of decisions made increased. It was possible to prevent losses in the amount of over 3 billion rubles. since the introduction of the ASUR. The system has already passed an external assessment - experts of the National Rating Agency, assigning a credit rating to the company, separately noted a moderately high level of development of the risk management system - a case when internal IT developments directly affect the financial assessment of the business. told Kristina Buyanova, Director of Operational and Financial Risk Management, PROGRESS JSC |
The company considered ready-made risk management systems, but chose self-development based on the Directum RX platform, which it has been using since 2020. Among the possibilities of such a solution are the interface familiar to users, flexible settings for workflows, reports, widgets using no/low-code, and the area of information protection. The project was implemented by the internal team of experts of the Department and IT specialists of PROGRESS JSC in a short time - in early 2024 the system was put into commercial operation.
| RISK RADAR has fundamentally changed the approach to the organization of the risk management system - in real time I see the distribution of risk load across departments, which allows you to quickly concentrate resources on the most significant events and monitor the effectiveness of their implementation. We have created an environment where risks are managed rather than reported. Viktor Shurygin, Head of Risk Management and Internal Control, PROGRESS JSC reported |
The RISK RADAR project is not an end point, but an ever-evolving ecosystem. Due to the fact that ASUR is integrated into the management process, it is dynamically developing and changing, in accordance with market conditions and current business needs. In the foreseeable future, it is planned to supplement the existing set of measures and implement the following steps:
- Move comprehensive automated BI reporting from Microsoft to the internal Directum RX platform.
- Implementation of AI tools built into Directum RX for automatic integral risk assessment.
- Development of residual risk assessment functionality and implementation of key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Formation of a unified knowledge base on the factors and consequences of risks.
PROGRESS continues to develop in the field of digitalization of production processes and the introduction of modern solutions, which corresponds to the goals and objectives of the state program for the introduction of the digital economy.
